Georgia M. Hinton, age 81, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, passed away on December 10, 2020, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born in Cookeville, Tennessee, on September 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Everett and Beulla Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Glen Hinton; and her dear son, Ricky Lee Partin.
Georgia is survived by her loving Sons, Rick Hinton (Anita Hinton) and Randy Hinton (Terry Hinton); Granddaughters, Heather Ballinger, Jessica Bates, Maranda Schulz, Maria Hinton, Alexa Morris, Tiffany Williams; Great-Granddaughters, Harper and Madison; Grandsons, Kyle Hinton and Brandon Williams; Great-Grandsons, Jaxson and Mason; Step-Daughter, Nancy Hinton Hair; Brother, Bill Cooper (Pat Cooper); Nieces, Mavery Meadows Gore, Denise Cooper and Carla Walker; Nephews, Troy Cooper (Nancy Cooper), Steve Cooper and Scott Cooper; and Sister-in-Law, Nancy Capparelli.
She retired from General Electric, where she worked for many years as a builder of airplane engines. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed attending church and spending time with her family. She loved and enjoyed all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Georgia will be remembered for her loving spirit. She was always so kind, thoughtful and generous. She could light up a room simply by walking into it. Georgia was truly a borrowed angel.
Visitation will be held from 12:30pm-1:30pm, on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 1:30 pm with Pastor Donnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
