Jay B. Evans, Sr.

Jay B. Evans, Sr., of Dayton, Ohio. Passed away December 2, 2020. He was born in Craynor, KY on October 19, 1934. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. Evans and Bettie (Howell) Evans. ; his grandson, Terry "TJ" Owsley, Jr.; his brothers, Hatler Evans, Tivis Evans, Kendall Evans; and sister, Hattie (Evans) Howell.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Kiser) Evans; his brother, Edgar Evans and wife, Maggie; his children, oldest daughter, Julie (Evans) Owsley and husband, Terry F. Owsley, Sr.; oldest son, jay B. Evans, Jr. and wife, Susan (Winemiller) Evans; youngest son, Jeffery Evans and wife, Teresa (Fiste) Evans; youngest daughter, Bonnie (Evans) Allen and husband, John P. Allen, Sr.; grandchildren, Thomas A.J. Owsley, Nick J. Evans, Seaira (Evans) Hines and husband, Garth Hines, Noah J. Evans and Benjamin L. Allen.

Jay was an awesome Husband, Father and Papaw. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was a hard-working man! He was a Veteran in the Army, a Laborer and Finisher, construction worker and he built a home with his hands and his heart for his bride. December 4, 2020, was their 61st Wedding Anniversary. His last wish was to get home to take care of his wife. No doubt he is in Heaven taking care of making their Heavenly Home special and full of love like the earthly home was.
