Mary Jean Price was born, August 29, in Moultrie, Georgia, to the late Henry David Jackson and Mattie Bell Small Jackson. She made a peaceful transition on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Mary relocated from Moultrie Georgia, to Dayton, Ohio. Mary was employed by the Inland Division of General Motors for 25 years as a parts inspector.
Mary gave her life to Lord at a very young age. Establishing the role as matriarch she instilled in her children the importance of having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughters Lawanda Hancock, Jacqueline Price, four sisters, Millie Lee Carter, Ocie Bell Allen, Bessie Jackson, and Bernestine Thomas, and four brothers, Ernest, Ellis, Henry and Milton Jackson. Her loving memories will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, Paulette Benson Satterfield of Dayton, Stephanie (James) Taylor of Dayton, Vickie (Bruce) Harris of Oklahoma, Tara Price of Dayton, Traci Price of Dayton, Robin Price-Hancock of Columbus and one son Terry Hancock of Dayton, one brother Willis Jackson of Florida, 33 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren and one special niece Kim Connor and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home-North Dayton Chapel located at 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424. Visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 pm , Services from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Burial Service will follow at the West Memory Gardens, 6722 Hemple Rd. Moraine, OH 45439.
