Delores Blakely, age 76, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2020. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on June 22, 1944, the daughter of the late M.B. Blakely and Classie Norris.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Theodore McKinnie, Jimmy Blakely and Omar Norris.
Delores is survived by her beloved sons, Giovannis Blakely and Anthony Blakely-Berry; grandchildren, Anthony Lee Berry, Jr., Aujenea Marie Berry, Brooke Angel Berry (Boling) and Sharnay Evette Bell; great grandchildren, Tyray Webb, Jr., Christopher Martin and Christin Martin; sisters, Raheema Norris and Saeedah Norris; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was a Nurse and retired from the Dayton VA Medical Center, where she worked for over 30 years. In her free time, she loved to bake, cook, listen to the Blues and spend time with her family.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am- 11:00 am, on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 am with Rev. Harry Calloway officiating. Burial will follow at West Memory Gardens, Moraine.
