William D. Cowie

William "Bill" D. Cowie, age 85 of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 31, 2020. He was born January 31, 1935 in Hopwood, PA son of the late William and Beverly Cowie.

Bill was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Bill was a member of the RC Model Airplane. He was an avid flyer. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bill retired from Wright Patterson AFB after 30 years. He continued his career as an Engineer at General Electric in Cincinnati, OH for 11 years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents William and Beverly Cowie.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rose Cowie; Mark Cowie of CA, Steve (Thelma) Cowie of TX, Gina Cowie of FL, Christi (Jack) Mathis of OH, Vincent Cowie of OH, and Brad Cowie of OH; grandchildren, Sophia Cowie of FL, William Dewaine Cowie and Heidi Marie Cowie of CA, Christopher (Maria) Taulbee of CA, Cierrah Longo of TX; great-grandchildren, Memphis Dills, Michaela and Ade Taulbee, and Nahalia Carr; brothers, Gary Lynn Cowie of OR, and Bruce Wayne (Kathy) Cowie of CA; Bruce Jr of PA, Shawn of TX, and Michael; special friends, Sherry Edens and Michelle Williams; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at 11:00am at Valley View Memorial Gardens, ( 170 North Valley Road Xenia, Ohio 45385).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in his honor to Hospice of Dayton.
