Steven Edward Dayton Jr., age 53 of Dayton, OH passed away on June 19, 2020 in his home. Born April 17, 1967 in Aberdeen, WA, to Steven Dayton Sr. & Bethene McPherson Barnett.
Graduated from Hoquiam High School in 1985. Retired AO1(AW) Navy veteran of 22 years, served in Desert Storm on the US Eisenhower in 1991, and the US Abraham Lincoln G1 Flight Deck and then headed on the roads as a short haul truck driver. A member of the AMVETS. A fan of the Seattle Seahawks and Nascar and had a passion for cooking. He cherished his min-pins Xena, the princess warrior, and Conan, the barbarian.
Steven was married to Keli Hussong and Sandi Dayton. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by his son, David Dayton; sister, Angela Dayton-Foust; step siblings, David, Allen, Gary Barnett, Brian Dayton & Billijo Reese.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Newcomer North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road in Dayton) with military honors beginning at 3 pm. Burial will be at Sea in Grays Harbor County, WA.
