Martin E. Cummins, age 78 of Beavercreek, OH passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 11, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to Leslie and Lucille (Davis) Cummins. Martin married Sandra Beck on December 3, 1966 in Ellerton, OH.
Marty graduated from Stivers High School in Dayton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, serving in Japan, Guam and stateside in Dover, Delaware and was a former commissioner with the Greene County Veteran's Services. After his discharge he worked for TWA and for Newsweek magazine. Marty began his career in Real Estate in 1970 selling real estate in the Miami Valley for approximately 50 years, and especially enjoyed working with first time home buyers. He loved sports and was a season ticket holder for the Cincinnati Reds for many years. Marty liked to play cards and was in a Euchre club for over 30 years and made a lot of good friends. Marty and Sandy loved to travel around the country, visiting many states including Hawaii. He was a Past President of the Greene County Board of Realtors, a Past Commander of the American Legion in Beavercreek and was a former member of Rotary, Sertoma and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Marty loved his family and extended family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Marty is survived by his wife of 53 years Sandy; a daughter, Jennifer (Rick) Kochaney; a son, Greg (Amanda) Cummins; six grandchildren, Megan Yagiela, Billy Yelley, John Cummins, Kaitlyn Cummins, Braydan Netherton and Selena Cummins; a great grandson, Leland Verse; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Leslie; and his mother and stepfather, Lucille and John Dick.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2020 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Internment for the immediate family will follow the services at Dayton National Cemetery with full military honors.
