Rodney J. Willoughby, age 70 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at his home. He was born February 23, 1950 in Winchester, Kentucky the son of John and Regina Willoughby.
Rodney loved to read and play games with his kids and grandchildren. He was a genius when it came to history and enjoyed a good political debate. His passion was rescuing dogs, having many over the years. He always had a great sense of humor, even in his illness. Rodney was a passionate college basketball fan, rooting on his Indiana Hoosiers and during March Madness, you would find him glued to the TV. Rodney was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa who will be truly missed.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Christine; children, Libby (Lake) Ellis, Angelica (Dave) Garcia, Travis (Tamara) Pomposello, Nicole (Max) Grieco & James Grieco; grandchildren, James, Aaron, Skyler, Tanner (Barbara), Hunter, Brooke (Robby), Emma, David Jr., Monica (Jackie), Justin, Jordan (Alisia), Gabriel, Tyler, Noelle & Lia; great grandchildren, Alena, Quinn, Kashton, Korbin, Konnley & Kruz; brother, Ronald (Charlotte) Cole; father-in-law, Clement Hallam; brother-in-law, Michael (Barbara) Hallam; and many other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of friends and family will be Friday July 3rd from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm.
