On this date June 12, 2020 Dennis Mullins, age 90, passed from this earth to enter everlasting life, and be with his friends, and loved ones who have passed on before. He was born June 20, 1929 in Knott County, Kentucky to the late N.D. and Carrie Mullins.
Dennis retired from the United States Air force in 1970, went ton to work for the Federal Government at Wright Patterson AFB for a period of time, and eventually retiring again in 1994 with a combine total of 40 plus years with the United States Government. He was a veteran of the Korea and Vietnam war's., and a charter member for approximately 60 year's in the Masonic Lodge 719, located just outside of the main gate at Moody AFB, Valdosta, Georgia.
Dennis is leaving behind his three daughters, Anna Marie (Phillip) Allen, Deborah Ann (Danny) Rowland, and Denise K. (Jon) Layton, and two sons, Jerry Rader (Kathy) and Danny Mullins; number of grand children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; sisters, Janice Vance, Dorothy Keefer, and Alta Tidwell; brother, Lemuel Hale, and Jack Mullins.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, ND Mullins; mother, Carrie Potter; wife of 67 years, Atha Lee Mullins; son, Kris Mullins; and a brothers, Brenton Hale and Ernie Hale.
Dennis was a Proud Kentucky type person and loved to keep up with current events and Politics in his later years in life. Enjoyed talking politics, fishing, golf, and sports of all kinds. He loved spending time with family, close friend's and loved one's. He also loved all kinds of country and Bluegrass music. Heaven will provide him with all the things he loved here on earth and much more. God will look over him in heaven, and we want him to know he will forever be missed and loved by a lot of friends and loved one's here on earth.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 22, 2020 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, (3380 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45324). Funeral Service will begin at 1:30pm at the Funeral Home with Pastor R.C. McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Byron Cemetery, in Fairborn, Ohio.
