Richard A. Bruens Jr., age 34 of Dayton, OH passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was born March 28, 1986 in Dowagiac, Michigan to Richard "Dick" Bruens, Sr. and Cheri Ann (Wheetley) Wallace. Richard married Kimberly Miller on June 14, 2018.
Rich and Kimberly owned and operated a successful concrete company, Bruens Concrete, in Dayton, OH. He enjoyed hunting, being in the woods, teaching Kimberly to hunt and they both had a passion for shed hunting. They owned property at Long's retreat where they would camp year round. Rich enjoyed long country drives and exploring abandoned property with Kimberly. He had a passion for working and was always willing to help others, even if he didn't know how to fix it. Rich had a smile as big as his face that would fill a room and a laugh that was intoxicating and contagious. He had a big heart, was very giving and he was fearless. Rich loved his wife Kimberly with his whole heart, as well as his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Richard is survived by his wife Kimberly; his kids, Brandon, Kody, Sofia, Christina, Xavier and Dustin; his mother, Cheri Ann; siblings, Amiee Bruens-Asher, Joseph Bruens, Stephanie Wheetley, Cassandra Nelson, Robin McBrier, Clark Wallace, Terry-Joe Bruens, Trista Kelly, Virginia Cooper and Mark Wallace Jr.; grandmothers, Lori Wheetley and Clara Wallace; grandfather Zip Bruens; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, "The Myth, The Man, The Legend", Dick Bruens; grandparents, Freddy-Joe Wheetley, Robert Wallace, Dori Bruens and great grandmother, Virginia Barham; and a sister, Jessica Wallace.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with Rich's funeral expenses.
