Eugene E. Colley

Eugene "Gene" Colley, age 93 of Fairfield and formerly of Bellbrook, reunited with his wife, Arlene on May 31, 2020. He was born July 6, 1926 in Grundy, VA to the late Robert S. and Nancy Jane (Owens) Colley. In addition his wife and parents, Gene was preceded in death by siblings, Sherman Colley, James Colley, Ocie Burkhart, Marie Burkhart and Goldie Shrader.

He is survived by his children, James Robert "Bob" Colley of Jasper, GA, Cheryle Virelli of Knoxville, TN and Cathy Kinter of Fairfield, OH; grandchildren, Ryan Lemp, Jennifer Lemp, Rachel Colley and Steven Colley; sister, Lois Stiltner of Grundy, VA and numerous extended family and friends.

Gene worked and retired from Frigidaire as a fork lift operator after 30 years of service. He proudly served overseas during WWII in the US Army. Gene and Arlene were devoted Christians and served as active members of Franklin Street Baptist Church and Morningstar Baptist Church in Centerville. He enjoyed many years of traveling around the country with his wife in their Air Stream travel trailer. Gene was a loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Gene now resides peacefully in his Heavenly home.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Centerville, OH 45459) where a funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Pastor Danny Griffith officiating. Interment with military honors will follow the service at Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, Centerville.
