Monica A. "Moncie" Holder, age 69 of Kettering, OH passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Kettering Medical Center. She was born July 4, 1950 in Paintsville, Kentucky to John "JB" Kennard and Janis (Goble) Taylor.
Monica was a 1968 graduate of Fairview High School in Dayton, OH. Monica had a varied career in nursing, real estate and property management. She loved flowers, gardening, reading, animals and history. She loved her family and enjoyed time exchanging stories with them. Monica had a contagious laugh that was adored by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Monica is survived by her two sons, Darin (Dori) Willis and David Willis; a step daughter, Sky (Tim) McNett; a granddaughter, Darby Willis; a step grandson, Sam Geise; a brother, John (Carol) Kennard; her step father, Robert Taylor; a step brother, Rick Sells; nephews, John A. (Emily) and Eric Kennard; a niece, Emily (Andrew) Feyock; and other numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Centerville, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45459. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family will also hold a visitation from 10:00 am -12:00 noon this coming Friday, March 6,2020 at Rock House Freewill Baptist Church in Staffordsville, Kentucky. Funeral will immediately follow. Interment will be at a later date.
