Warren Kappeler, III, age 46, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on January 14, 2020. Warren was born on October 20, 1973 in Dayton, OH. He was the son of Warren, Jr. and Rolinda (Steck) Kappeler.
Warren was a college Instructor at Sinclair Community College for over 10 years and taught at Wright State University, Ohio Dominican University, Strayer College and Shawnee State University.
He graduated from Bowling Green University with honors, attained a Masters Degree at the University of Dayton and received a PHD from McGill University in Montreal. At Centerville High School he excelled in Extemporaneous Speaking with several awards and was a member of the Speech and Debate teams and a member of the National Honors Society.
Warren was an avid reader in philosophy, motivational speakers and religion. He also enjoyed jazz and R&B Music. Warren had a passion for baseball, basketball and football. He could recite any baseball statistic, especially for his Cincinnati Reds, he also followed his UD Flyers and LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Warren attended services at St. Leonard's regularly.
He is survived by his loving parents Warren A., Jr. and Rolinda Kappeler of Washington Township. Warren will be greatly missed by his loving relatives and many students he has inspired over the years.
Warren was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Warren A., Sr. and Mary Kappeler; and maternal grandparents, Roland B and Frances Steck.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, OH. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00pm with Fr. Gerald Haemmerle officiating.
