Roy Eugene Fraley, age 89, of Dayton, OH passed away on January 15, 2020. Roy was born on June 29, 1930 in Van Lear, KY. He was the son of William and Geneva (Miller) Fraley. On January 16, 1954, he married the love of his life, Helen Ann (Miguel) Fraley.
After 30 years of service, Roy retired from being a Group Leader for General Motors. He was also a member of United Auto Workers and the Moraine Heights Baptist Church. Roy loved spending time at his cottage and fishing on Lake Cumberland near Burnside, KY. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wild Cats fan and enjoyed watching the Bengals and Patriots. He was also a "mall-walker" and looked forward to seeing his friend's every morning. Roy was a true family man and received the greatest joy in life from being with his family and spending time with his 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Along with his loving wife Helen, Roy is survived by his son, James (Gina) Fraley.
Roy was preceded in death by his son, Michael Fraley and granddaughter, Emily Fraley.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2020, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 pm with Pastor Patrick DellAria officiating. Burial will take place in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
