On November 21st, 2019, Roger Clarence Brandt, devoted servant of Christ, went to his heavenly home.
Roger was born to Clarence and Emma (Haug) Brandt in Danube, Minnesota, on February 14th, 1936, in the middle of a snowstorm. In 1958, he married the love of his life, Joanne Elizabeth Wright, while completing his Electrical Engineering degree at South Dakota State University, from which he graduated in 1959. He continued his education, completing a master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the Air Force Institute of Technology. He began his military career at Keesler Air Force Base in Mississippi, which was followed by service in Korea, Patrick Air Force Base in Florida, the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Vietnam, the US Air Force Academy, an exchange assignment with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Ottawa, Canada, and finally back to Wright Patterson Air Force base, where he retired from the military after twenty-one years of service. Most importantly, during his tour to Korea, he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Upon retirement from the military, he worked for Logicon for seven years, until 1987, when he followed a call to serve at Dayton Christian Schools as Business Manager for the next fifteen years.
One of Roger's greatest passions was sharing his faith and encouraging and discipling people.
