John F. Curry, age 84 of Huber Heights, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019. He was born March 23, 1935 in York Center, Ohio to the late Marion and Helen Curry.
John attended The Ohio State University. He held multiple federal civil service positions. During his years of service, he was an instructor for the Department of Navy in Maryland. He also worked for the Army Finance Center at Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis. John was a computer program analyst for Wright Patterson Air Force Base. He retired after 40 years from the Department of Defense.
John was an outdoorsman and loved spending time at his second home in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and volunteering with dog sled racing. He was also active in Boy Scouts and Little League
John will be missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Carol; children, Beverly Lynn Bell of Columbus, OH, Greg (Maureen) Curry of Columbus, OH and Robert Curry of Tennessee; grandchildren, Heather Bell of Columbus, OH, Kevin, Steven, William and Daniel Curry of Columbus, Ohio; step-son, Brian (Celine) Johnson of Cincinnati, OH, siblings, Ellie (Carl) Schock of Colorado Springs, CO, Julian Curry of Columbus, OH and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at York Center Cemetery, York Center, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to the Salvation Army.
