Mike Lee Fraley, age 65, of Springboro, OH passed peacefully surrounded by his family on October 2, 2019. Mike was born on August 14, 1954 in Chelsea, MA. He was the son of Roy and Helen (Michael) Fraley of Miamisburg, OH. On October 4, 1996, he married Gaye (Miller) Fraley.
Mike graduated from Miamisburg High School and attended Sinclair College and the University of Dayton. Mike worked as an Electrician for General Motors Delphi Division. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, and following his favorite teams, Ohio State Buckeyes, Kentucky Wildcats and his Cleveland Browns. Mike also had a passion for all types of electronics and electrical gadgets. Mike was an excellent cook and knew his way around the kitchen preparing special meals for his family and friends. Mike's true passion and love in life were his six beautiful grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Roy and Helen, Mike leaves behind a legacy consisting of his loving wife Gaye; sons, Michael Fraley of Miamisburg and Mark Fraley of Dayton; step-daughters, Alicia (Stephen) Figliola of Carlisle and Gena (Brian) Huxtable of Centerville; step-son, Matt (Wendy) Short of Wilmington; brother, James (Gina) Fraley of Miamisburg; grandchildren, Ashley Carter, David Figliola, Kalina Fraley, Lorin Short, and Cooper Short.
Mike's family would like to extend a special thank-you to their wonderful neighbor, Ed Heidenreich, who provided much support and assistance thorough Mike's illness.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2019, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:30. Burial will take place in Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
