Laura A. Maupin

Laura A. Maupin, age 88, of Dayton, passed away on August 27, 2019. She was born September 10, 1930 in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Chester H.Bailey and Mattie Lee (Estes) Bailey Brandenburg.

In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Maupin, son, William Burton, sister, Bertha Samples, and brother, Martin "Mart" Bailey.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (William "Bill") Hoskins, Linda Wood; grandsons, Justin (Jessica) Wood, Joshua Wood, Michael (Megan) Sullivan; great-granddaughter, Josie Wood; sisters, Nellie "Katie" Dunn, Myrtle Miller, Shelton (Susan) Bailey, Fay (Don) Pullin, Walter (Wilma) Bailey, James(Sandy) Bailey, and Brenda (Ricky) Robinson, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Laura was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was fun-loving and hard-working. Laura retired at the age of 80 from the Red Carpet Inn in Fairfield, Ohio after more than 20 years of service.
"She was one special Lady".

Visitation will be held from 11:30 am until time of service at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
