Billie J. Northern, age 83 of Miamisburg, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Sycamore Glen Retirement Community. She was born March 20, 1936 in Berea, Kentucky the daughter of the late Harry Simpson and Annabelle (Marvin) Short.

Billie retired after 30 years of dedicated service from General Motors Inland Division. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Germantown and the American Legion Post #165. Billie enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with friends across the country. She was an avid reader, loved music and spending time with her friends working jigsaw puzzles. Billie was a loving and caring person who continued to show her generosity through the gift of donating her body to science at Wright State University.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Larry G. Northern.

Billie is survived by her son, Glenn A. (Julie) Wilson; daughter, Vicki J. Trent Fitzpatrick; four grandchildren, Lisa A. Wilson Coleman, Joshua A. (Virginia) Wilson, Megan (Travis) Perdue and Ross Jacobs; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; along with many close friends and extended family.

Family will receive friends Saturday, June 29, 2019 from 12:00-1:00 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd, where a memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Dayton in her memory.
