Mary L. Grigsby, age 80 of Dayton, passed away March 24, 2019 at The Hospice of Dayton. She was born September 22, 1938 in Hazard, KY to the late Woodson and Rebecca Combs. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by grandson, Bo Grigsby; brothers, Dewey Combs, Kenzie Combs and Lonzie Combs.
She is survived by her children, Sammy (Sheila) Grigsby, Tammy (Don) Swart, Bobby (Gina) Grigsby, Lola (Tom) Schenkel, Teresa (Marvin) Disney, Vickie (Randy) Coots and Sonny Grigsby; 24 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-granddaughter; brother, Dorse (Brenda) Combs; sister, Grace Couch; former husband, Bobby E. Grigsby "Gene" and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Mary loved playing Rummy and watching Price is Right and Mama's Family. She enjoyed going out with her family and taking rides through the parks.
Family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM with Bishop Leon Collins officiating. Interment will follow the service at Willow View Cemetery, Dayton.
