Ella M. Tucker (1944-2019)
Ella Mae Tucker (Hedrick), age 74 of Dayton, Ohio, went home Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born in Sabina, Ohio august 1944 to the late Benjamin F. and Avonelle Mercer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin F. and Avonelle Mercer; her brother, Benjamin "Ben" C. Mercer and husband, Dale Eugene Tucker. Ella is survived by her 5 children: Dale "Glenn" Tucker, Diane "Missy" Tucker, Edna "Darlene" Tucker/Bailey, Eric D. Tucker and Cecilia A. Tucker; 14 grandchildren, Joshua, Justin, Brittany, JT, Brooklyn, Dustin, Robert, Alexis, Christopher, Aaron, Kenny, Kaitlan, Brandon Ray and Tyler "Ty"; and 15 great grandchildren.
Ella graduated from Sabina High School, went on to college and retired from Moody's of Dayton as an accounting clerk with 35 years of service.
Ella was known for her big heart, hard work, always willing to give, and her very strong will. One of her greatest enjoyments was spending time with her grandchildren. She exceeded far beyond the title "Best Mom Ever". She is loved to the moon and back and dearly missed by many.
At her request, there will be no service. There will be a memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to the Cancer Society.
This super woman's family legacy is: "Always love each other, there's no closer feelings than those among family."
A wife, a mother, a grandma too, this is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight, you gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, and in your heart, you were always kind. you fought for us all in one way or another, not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.
