Tyler Baumgartner

Tyler Alexander Baumgartner, age 22, of Oakwood, Ohio passed away March 5, 2019 at his home.
Tyler was a proud member of the Boy Scout Troop 320 where he earned the Eagle rank and also was a member of the Order of the Arrow. He was a 2015 graduate of Oakwood High School where he played the tuba in the marching band. Tyler enjoyed baking breads and desserts for his family and friends. He was a dedicated firefighter combating wilderness fires in Oregon and California. Tyler loved reading, going to concerts and watching movies, but especially loved spending time with his friends. He loved dogs and was fond of his brother's dog, Gracie.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Baumgartner.
Tyler is survived by father and step-mother, Ernst S. (Donna) Baumgartner; brother, Michael (Calla) Baumgartner; sister, Sarah Baumgartner; along with numerous friends and extended family.
Family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. at Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH, where a memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.
