Jerry E. Sharp
February 22, 1953 — January 29, 2019
Jerry E. Sharp age 65, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly on January 29th 2019 at Miami
Valley Hospital.
He was a 1971 Belmont High School graduate. He was a football player for the Belmont Bison,
and received a full ride scholarship to Miami University for football.
He was in the Air Force from 1973-1977. He was a restaurateur for most of his life.
He spent his last 13 years at Faurecia Exhaust Systems, though he continued his love of cooking at home
through those years. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His hobbies
included family and food.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kellie Collier-Sharp, his children. Nell Sharp (husband
Douglas Girtman) and Annabelle Sharp. Along with grandchildren Cecilia Sharp, Jude Girtman
and Stella Sharp. Sister Martha Watkins. Sister in law Kimberlie Lowman Sharp (children
Patricia, Mollie and Paul).
He was preceded in death by Arthur Sharp, his brother.
At the request of Jerry, there will be no funeral services held.
