Jack Eugene Ballard of Dayton, passed away Thursday November 8, 2018 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born November 15, 1930 in Dayton, Oh to Roscoe and Myrtle Ballard.
Jack graduated from Roosevelt High School. Jack later enlisted in Army where he served as a communications specialist during the Korean War.
Jack's professional career included management of various Kroger stores in the area, owner and operator of a grocery store, the Beavercreek IGA. Later Jack became a Sales Representative for Super Foods Services. After retirement he began a new career as a realtor in the Dayton area.
A devoted husband and father Jack enjoyed bowling, hand ball, golf and attending the men's University of Dayton basketball games.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents Roscoe & Myrtle Ballard.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Terri (John) Barnard; niece Ruthie Phillips, great nieces Robyne Clark, Susie (David) Sult Crain, Lisa Sult Zellers; great nephews Gary (Michele) Sult Jr, Rick Phillips.
Family will greet friends Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer – Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek Ohio. A service will take place at 11:00 a.m. following visitation.
