Travis M. Chism

Travis Michael Chism "Tray", age 25 of Dayton, Ohio passed away Monday, October 29, 2018.

He was born February 12, 1993 at Miami Valley Hospital. From his birth to his passing Travis inspired everyone he met with his kind heart, childlike nature and outgoing personality.

Travis went to Stebbins High School where he excelled and loved playing football.

He worked as a tree trimmer and grounds man at Daddy D's Tree Specialist where he became part of the family.

Travis truly loved and lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with friends and family, listening to and singing music, recovery and the 12- Step program.

Travis had an uncanny ability to connect with people in a positive way. He was truly loved by all who knew him and will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by great grandmothers Virginia Etta Crabtree and Doris Mitchell; grandmother Christina Crabtree (Battaglia), grandfathers Dewey Barnett, Sr. and Fred White; stepfather Marvin White; aunts Jamie Crabtree, Jessica Barnett (Lairson) and Chasity Spears; cousins Brandy Kincaid, Ashley Huddelston and Christopher Barnett.

Survived by his mother Stacey White, father Shawn Chism; sisters Taylor White and Charley Phillips; nephew Arlin Thacker; grandmothers Kathy Chism and Geneva White; aunt Christina Chism (Brooks); uncles Dewey Barnett, Jr., Matthew Barnett, Joshua Crabtree, Rick White and Freddie White; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Travis' Life will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 5:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel. A viewing will take place from 3-5:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
