John D. "Jack" Hall, Jr., age 68, of Medway, passed away suddenly on October 20, 2018. Jack was born in Dayton, OH on November 9, 1949 to the late Evelyn and John D Hall, Sr. Jack graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1968. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve during the Vietnam War. Jack faithfully, proudly, and honorably, served his country until his honorable discharge in 1973.
Jack worked for many years as a maintenance technician. He had a passion for woodworking and gardening. He worked with many youth programs and loved to teach and inspire the next generation. He coached pee-wee football and helped "herd" children at Bible school. Jack took great pride and joy in his family. He loved to spend quality time with his loved ones.
Jack married the love of his life, Debra Logan in March of 1996. The two shared many happy years together and raised a beautiful family. Jack was a member of the Bethel Community Church of the Nazarene. The church held a special place in Jack's heart, as he and Debbie were married there.
Jack was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father, papaw, grandpa, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Jack leaves to cherish his memory, loving wife of 22 years, Debbie Hall; children, Micah (Tina) Hall, Nicholas (Amy) Hall, Robin (Cheyenne) Smith, Shane (Tina) Bailey, Teria Bailey, and Cody (Stephanie) Bailey; grandchildren, Austin, Jason, Logan, Emily, Ethan, Travis, Riley, Shelley, Shane, Wesley, Erica, Dusty, Beaux, and Gauge; sisters, Karen (Dennis) Gochoel and Claudia Philpot; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Newcomer - North Chapel from 3pm - 6pm. A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 1pm at the funeral home (calling hours for one hour prior). Burial and Air Force Honors to be rendered following the service at Dayton National Cemetery.
