Elizabeth L. Moorman, age 83, of Xenia passed away October 16, 2018 with her daughters and caregivers, Teresa and Connie, at her side.
She was born July 4, 1935 in Paintersville, Ohio to Charles A. "Pete" and Ethel "Pauline" (Carmen) Jones.
Elizabeth was a kind, loving, caring Mom, Grandma and Best Friend who will be greatly missed. She loved traveling with her daughters and visiting with her family who she deeply loved. She also loved camping with her family at Long's Retreat. She was the previous joint owner of Moorman's Towing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Moorman in 2004, son Richard Moorman, son-in-law Denny Penewit and brother Tommy Jones.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters Teresa (Donnie) Moorman-Lovett and Connie Penewit; son Everett (Luann) Moorman; grandchildren Thomas (Annie) Varvel, David (Toni) Lamka, Robert (Kelsey) Lamka, Tracy (Mike) Mershon, Zach and Zane Everhart, Laura (Wayne) Usher, Barbara Yates and Steven (Annette) Moorman; great grandchildren Jayden Sagers, Logan Sagers, Elizabeth Varvel, Clorrissa (Nick) Glass, Kaden Lamka, Raelynn Lamka, Oaklyn Lamka, Easton Lamka, Parker Lamka, Dalana Mershon, Hunter Mershon, Amanda (Spencer) Minter, Joshua Moorman, Braden Yates, Val and Logan Moorman; great great grandchildren Abbygale Glass, Liam and Alexavier Mershon; and many other family and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Donnie Lovett for his loving care and amazing help; Dr. Richard Byers and his compassionate staff for their loving and devoted care and to all the amazing people at Greene Memorial Hospital for the care of our mother.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery in Beavercreek. Elizabeth's family will greet relatives and friends from 9-11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home.
