Otis Moore, Jr., age 72 of Trotwood, went Home to be with his Lord on October 16, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 24, 1946 in Homer, Louisiana to the late Otis, Sr. and Ella Dean (Ferrell) Moore. In addition to his parents, Otis was preceded in death by his sisters, Henrietta (Moore)Baxter and Delores Moore.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Gloria Moore; children, Vicky (James Ward) Jamison, Terri (James) McCurdy, Stephen (Greta) Moore and Spence (Tanyika) Moore; adopted sons, Jamey, Shawn and Carlton; grandson/son, A'Marrion Corbitt; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Anderson; brother-in-law, Henry Baxter and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Otis was a member of Parliament Club and served as president for 25 years. He coached the First Dayton Little League and while there, was a mentor to numerous young men. Otis was a truck driver for Montgomery County and a insulation installer with LC Cassidy.
Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. where a memorial service will begin at 11 AM with Pastor Clarence Plump officiating.
Following the ceremony, A Celebration of Life will begin at 4 PM at AmVets 99, 1123 S. Brown School Rd., Vandalia, OH 45377.
