David N. Hanson

David N. Hanson, age 76 of New Carlisle, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Miami Valley Hospital South. He was born December 25, 1941 in Aurora, Illinois to the late Howard and Vera Hanson.
David was a 1959 graduate of Vincennes Lincoln High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and upon his discharge received an Associates Degree from Vincennes University. David and his wife Jeanne were married in 1965. He spent his career with General Motors as an After Market Sales Representative with AC Delco. David enjoyed woodworking, chair caning, furniture refinishing and was a member of Cave Research Foundation.
David was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jeanne Hanson.
David will be missed by his loving children, Jeffrey G. Whitson, Gina L. (Ted) Greenwood and Eric C. Hanson; six grandchildren, Arthur, Michael, Raymond, Beth, Mallory and Travis; eight great grandchildren; sister, Meredith (Tom) Kendrick; sister-in-law, Marianne (Dan) Weger; three nieces; one nephew and many friends.
Family will receive friends Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in David's Memory to the First Baptist Church, El Salvador Mission, 111 W. Monument Ave., Dayton, OH 45402.
