John Michael Johnson

February 10, 1969 — July 28, 2018

John Michael Johnson, age 49 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born February 10, 1969 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Wayne Johnson and Jackie Poston.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Irene Johnson and John and Jennie Kelly; uncles, Clyde Johnson and Paul Johnson; cousin, Paul R. Johnson.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and target shooting. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan.

John is survived by his parents, Wayne Johnson, Jackie (Libby) Poston; sister, Jill Marie (Kenton David) Klein; his only niece, Ashley Klein; special friends, Cheryl Roberts, Lisa Topp Semelsberger and Donnie Topp. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be August 10, 2018 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial service will be held August 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in John's name to Ohio Hospice of Dayton 324 Wilmington Pike or the American Cancer Society.
