Mary Jane Mcgriff

Mary Jane "Janie" McGriff, age 72 of Huber Heights, passed away July 23, 2018. She was born October 2, 1945 in Dayton, Ohio. Janie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sauerbrun; brothers: Ronald Sauerbrun and Bob Sauerbrun; and sister, Barbara Sauerbrun.
Janie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lynn McGriff; sons: Alan (Bonnie) McGriff and Matthew McGriff; grandchildren: Ashley McGriff and Benjamin McGriff; sisters: Patricia Hussong, Virginia Benner and Beverly (Jack) Cummings; sisters-in-law: Yvonne Sauerbrun, Bonnie Dowdy and Carol Wyatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In her spare time, Janie enjoyed playing BINGO and the slots, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janie devoted much of her life to the care of her special needs son, Matthew and his community activities.
Visitation will be held from 3-4 pm on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm.
