George Smith, age 70 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018. He was born March 26, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Beulah Gray and Fred and Elphia Smith; and brother, John Sheere.
George will be missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Leona; children, Ginger Scott, Charlie (Danell) Gray, Fred Gray, George Smith and Roy Smith; grandchildren, Cara (Nikki) James, Cheryl Gray, Chrystal Gray, Anissa Gray, Charley Ann Gray, Briar Gray, Charlie Gray, Jr., Calvin Gray and Chad Gray; many great grandchildren; siblings, Sue Carter, Jimmy (Evelyn deceased) Gray, Phillip Gray, Darlene (Robert deceased) Carter, Rose (Rodney) Smith, Roger (Donna) Gray and Laura (Robert) Shaun and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday, July 9, 2018 from 5 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 7 p.m. at Newcomer South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
