Terry L. Cox

Terry L. Cox, age 72 of New Carlisle, OH passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at Grandview Hospital. He was born April 10, 1946 in Dayton, Ohio to Eldon and Wanda (Byers) Cox.

Terry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and worked as an Optician with Bell Optical in Dayton. He loved to cook and sharing the foods he cooked with family and friends. Terry loved working in the yard and spending time with his dog Walker. He loved his family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.

Terry is survived by his son, Ryan C. (Scarlet) Cox; a daughter, Tamara J. (Steven) Cook; six grandchildren, Hailey, Jordan, Makayla, Bryce and Jacob Cook and Ryan Cox, Jr.; one great grandson, Joshua Bowling; a sister, Jean (Cliff) Knox; and other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Velma Jean Cox; a brother, James Cox; a special friend, Beverly Evans and his dog Gizmo.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Entombment will follow the services at Miami Valley Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Centerville.
