William Eugene Beasley

Beasley, William Eugene, "Gene", age 90, of Centerville, passed away March 25, 2018 after a short illness.

He was born August 22, 1927 in Stanton, KY and grew up in Cookeville/Crossville, TN area. Along with his family, Gene moved to the Dayton area in the 1940's. He was a long-time member and former Choir Director of North Dayton Baptist Church, which was founded by his father, Rev. William Beasley. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps and then began a 40 year career with Delco Moraine.

Gene was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Anna Ruth (Barton) Beasley, parents, Rev. William McKinley Beasley, Vola C. (Hyder) Beasley, and brother, Henry Joe Beasley. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Bonnie (Browder) Beasley; two granddaughters, Nichole Webster and husband, Matt, Taylor Beasley; 3 great-grandchildren, Mabel, Thatcher, and Dorothy all of Dayton; brother and sister-in-law, Paul W. and Jeannette Beasley of Ashland, KY and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also survived by dear friend and companion, Louise Hicks and her loving family.

Gene's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hospice of Dayton for their loving care.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Newcomer South Chapel 3940 Kettering Blvd. Funeral service 10 am Friday, March 30, 2018 at North Dayton Baptist Church 515 Lillian Ave Dayton, OH 45404. Burial will follow at David's Cemetery.

He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
