John Shelton Jr.

Shelton, John Earl Jr. (J.E). John was born March 3, 1967 in Dayton, OH. On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, John went home to be with the Lord being at age 50 he battled Parkinson disease.

Son of John Shelton Sr. and Betty (Muncy) Shelton. One uncle James Muncy, Three Aunts Betty Muncy, Bonnie Isaacs, and Gloria Shelton, a Host of cousins & friends.

John was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was very faithful in service for his Lord where he had served as a trustee & usher.
At the age of 19, he started the family business of SCF Genetics. He retired at the age of 45 after more than 25 years' service at Neaton, Mfg. He then went into full time work in cattle and farming.

John enjoyed lots of traveling in both occupations getting to travel abroad including Japan and London. He enjoyed getting to visit many Farms and Judging Cattle Shows in the U.S. & London.

He graduated from Twin Valley South High School, being a member of the 4H & FFA & Scouts. Becoming involved with United Way while working at Neaton and active in Community Service, John loved to see his Town grow and prosper.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 11:00 am to 1:00pm at Calvary Baptist Church in West Alexandria with Services following at 1:00pm with Pastor David Spears officiating. Burial at Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria. Arrangements in the care of Newcomer South Chapel.
