Hugh S. Junior Johnson, age 82 of Lakeview, OH, passed away December 28, 2017. He was born on March 13, 1935 in Lena Mines, VA to the late Elmer and Eliza Johnson. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his, first wife, Sondra (Walker) Johnson; children, Deborah, Charmaine and Jimmy; grandson, Rick and brother, Ralph.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Johnson; sons, Jeff and Bill Snider; grandchildren, Tyra Phelps, Tori (Terrel) Beck; David Martin, Hugh "Skeeter" (Shelly) Johnson and Denise (Jay) Larrick; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, James (Louise) Johnson; sister, Juanita Riddle; brother, Bobby (Judy) Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Junior proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 675 and Moose Lodge 1533.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wounded Warriors or Gold Star Families Memorial, in Hugh's memory.
