Janet E. McCoy, age 80 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017. She was born June 27, 1937 in Lakeview, Iowa to Raymond and Lillian (Anderson) Finders. Janet married Jeptha McCoy in 1956 in Dayton, OH.
Janet retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in the late 90's and taught Word Processing to new employees at the base. She loved her grandkids and family and was devoted to caring for her family. Janet enjoyed needlepoint and crocheting and loved life in general.
Janet is survived by her sons, Raymond L. (Lynn) McCoy, Mark J. McCoy; three grandchildren, Sarah (Sean) Rutherford, Dustin McCoy and Megan (Nathaniel) McConaughey; and one great grandchild on the way; a sister, Marilyn Fitzgerald; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jeptha.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
