Peter Pietrzak, Jr., age 70 of Riverside, passed away Friday, December 22, 2017. He was born May 31, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Peter and Doris Pietrzak.
Pete was a 1965 graduate of Patterson Co-op High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from the printing industry after many years. He was a life-long member of the Polish Club. Pete was easy-going and fun-loving, always telling subtle jokes and puns. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he enjoyed every moment with his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James Pietrzak and Mike Pietrzak.
Pete will be missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Verna; son, Adam Pietrzak; daughter, Sarah (Greg) Siracusa; grandchildren, Ashley, Natalie, Marek and Stella; siblings, Judy Rockwood, David Pietrzak, Debbie Pietrzak, Doug (Tammy) Pietrzak and Paula (Mark) Carpenter; mother-in-law Jessie Pennington; brother-in-law, Mike (Lisa) Pennington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Pastor Tim Hamilton, officiating. Burial to follow at Willow View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Pete's memory to Hospice of Dayton or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
