Nancy Brenda Sue (Henegar) Heatherly, age 70, of Dayton-Northridge, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2017 at home after an extended illness.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Jim and Pearlie Henegar of Duff, TN and parents-in-law, Luke and Azilee Heatherly of LaFollette, TN.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Joe Heatherly; children, Jim (Joellen) Heatherly of Tipp City, Joseph Heatherly, and Jill Heatherly, both of Dayton; grandchildren, who she called "nana's angels", Claire, Taylor, Grant, and Braden; Wes Marsh, who she loved like a grandson; siblings, Bertie Thornton and Newman Henegar; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and hundreds of awesome friends.
Nancy was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for 51 years and formerly employed by Northridge Schools. She was intensely proud of her children and grandchildren. Nancy was known for
her green thumb and as cherished friend to many.
The family will receive friends at a visitation at Newcomer - North Chapel (4104 Needmore Road) from 9:30am - 10:30am on Friday, November 24, 2017. A funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30am with Rev. Jim Heatherly and Rev. Jimmy Perkins officiating. Burial to take place at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to Hospice of Dayton.
