Judith A. Walker (Gee), 75, of Dayton, OH, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton after a brief battle with cancer (GBM). Judie leaves behind her husband of 24 years, Kenny Walker; daughters, Robbin (Keith) Johnson, Penny Humerick, Melissa (Ken) Wilcox and Stephanie (Tony) Koehl; a brother, Delbert (Sue) Sheehan; aunt, Patty (Paul) Lowman; cousin, Beverly Noble; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends whom she loved and cherished.
Judie was an active member of the North Dayton Anglers and Conservation Club for 45 years. She donated her love and time towards their youth program, influencing many lives along the way. Judie, along with Leroy Schaff, began 30 years ago what was then called the "Handicapped Fishing Derby"; a fishing program for those with physical and mental limitations which continues to this day.
Judie is preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Wilma "Billie" Sheehan; sisters, Maxine Trosper, Jean Fisher and Shermie Steinke; her late husband, Thomas Steinbrunner; and granddaughter, Sarah Reedy.
At Judie's request, her body has been donated to the Wright State School of Medicine, to further educate those in the medical field.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, October 7 at 4:00 pm at North Dayton Anglers Club, 1924 Valley Street, Dayton, OH 45404. Memorial contributions are requested to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420.
