Dolores (Hover) Madden, age 84, passed away on Saturday August 26. 2017. She died from complications relating to dementia.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer South Chapel on Kettering Blvd. on September 1 from 4-7 and the service will be Saturday at 10. Burial will follow at Huntsville Cemetery.
She graduated from Huntsville High School in the class of 1951. Her first job was at J.C. Penney's at 18 years old. She was co-owner with her husband Jim, of two grocery stores, Madden IGA in Huntsville, Ohio from 1965-1967 and Third and Linden Market in East Dayton from 1977 -1995. She retired from J.C' Penney's.
Dolores is preceded in death by her husband, Jim. They had been married 62 years when he died from complications of a condo fire.
She is survived by sister in law Ruth Mary Smith of Columbus, Ohio, her 4 children, Terri (Rick) Pabst, James Madden, Laura (Mike) Nolan & Julie (Donny) Ashley, 8 grandchildren, Jonathan, Dan, Mike, Dylan, Erin, Jake, Mikaela & Olivia, 2 great grandchildren, Nikolai and Dylan Jr. & many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Dolores's name to Hospice of Dayton.
