Matthew Alan Thomas, 62 of Beavercreek, OH passed away Aug. 23, 2017 in the comfort of his home.
He was born in Stillwater, OK on Oct. 23, 1954 to George and Mildred Thomas.
Matt was a retired electrical engineer. He loved being with family and friends. He loved fishing, camping, traveling and meeting new friends. Matt was also a beloved member of Moose Lodge 73 in Beavercreek.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, George; mother, Mildred; brother, Rhett; and daughter, Kimberly.
He leaves behind his daughter, Angela (Mike) Hensel and grandchildren Chelsea, Collin and Savannah; his girlfriend of 13 years Teresa (Terry) Wolfe and their fur child Skippy (whom Matt loved very much); siblings George Jr., Cindy, Wayne and Jay Thomas; also the mother of his children, Betty, and many friends here and overseas.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 from 10:00-11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel followed by a graveside service at Byron Cemetery officiated by Pastor Wes Barnhill.
There will be a Celebration of Life, following the graveside service, at 629 Waverly Drive in Beavercreek. Everyone is invited.
