Worrell, Mary Emma (Sissy), 84, of Miamisburg passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 21, 2017. Mary was born on October 17, 1932, in Killarney, West Virginia and was a 1951 graduate of Athens High School in Athens, WV. She was an active member of Miamisburg Wesleyan Church for almost 50 years and also served on the Church Board.
Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Blaine A. Worrell and an infant son and daughter. She is also preceded in death by her loving parents, Fred M. and Garnet E. Cook, brother Robert C. Cook Sr., sister Janice F. Hartman, and brother Fred M. Cook, Jr.
Mary is survived by son Ronald (Glenna) Worrell of Germantown, daughter Cathy Worrell (Fred) Paugh of Miamisburg, five grandchildren, K. Amanda (Jason) Black, R. Matthew (Joni) Worrell, Michael (Amanda) Paugh, Micah (Faith) Worrell, and Megan Paugh. Seven great grandchildren, Landon Worrell and Emily Worrell, Alexis, Jayci, and Levi Black, and Emma and Blaine Paugh. Mary is also survived by one brother, Darrell L. (Debby) Cook, sister in-laws Ruby Cook and Wanda Cook, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening, July 26 at Newcomer Funeral Home South, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Janice Toft of Miamisburg Wesleyan Church officiating. Final interment at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Miamisburg.
