Rick Lee Saintgnue

Rick Lee Saintgnue, age 49, of Dayton, Ohio, passed in his home unexpectedly on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Rick was born to Jolene Brittingham (Purvis) on September 19, 1967. Rick's biological father is Donny Saintgnue. Rick's father is the late James Francis Brittingham.
Along with his father, Rick is preceded in death by his step siblings, Ellen Brittingham, Diane Rigney (Brittingham), and Mark Brittingham; grandparents, Hazel and Willie Purvis and Willard and Irene Brittingham; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rick is survived by his mother, Jolene Brittingham (Purvis); son, Damian Lee Saintgnue; son, Cody Lee Saintgnue; sister, Lisa Griggs (Brittingham); brother-in-law, Ralph Griggs; step sister, Sharon Aguailar (Brittingham); step grandmother, Betty Brittingham; biological granddaughter, Desirae Saintgnue; granddaughter, Brianna Saintgnue; nieces, Brooke and Jessie Griggs; nephew, Dustin Griggs; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Rick grew up in Huber Heights, Ohio. As a boy he was highly active. He enjoyed taking things apart and then putting them back together. He also enjoyed bike riding, swimming, skateboarding, and playing sports. Rick began working full time at the age of twelve in his family's lawn care business. As a teenager he developed a love for music, singing, and playing the guitar. God gave Rick unusual physical strength, which was a great asset in the construction and remodeling work that he did throughout his adult life.
Though the date is unrecorded for the family's access, Rick, somewhere in his thirties, made a profession of faith in the Lord Jesus, Christ. Receiving forgiveness of his sins and inheriting life eternal, with Jesus, the one who died, so that Rick might be free! This was the most important decision that Rick made in his life!
Rick was deeply loved and will be deeply missed!

Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
