Ray Wayne Hisel, age 80 of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2017. He was born in Estill County, KY to the late Susie and Santford Hisel. Ray was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and loyal canine companion, Lil' Annie. Ray retired from Dayton Walthers after many years of loyal service and then went on to work at SKS Corporation. Ray was a loving, caring, and compassionate husband, father, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Hisel and sister, Kathleen Denton.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Cynthia "Faye" Hisel; daughters, Carolyn Faye (Scott) Baker and Patricia Ray (David) Huber; grandchildren, Dustin (Jamie) Arp and Katrina Ray Huber; great-grandchildren, Sophia Ray, Afton, Aiden, Jaxon, and Jordan; "adopted" son, Jim Kittel; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Ray's life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel. The family will greet friends and loved ones from 9am - 12pm, prior to the service. Burial to follow at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.
