Lloyd Calvin Adams, 79, departed this life on Feb. 8, 2017. He was born Feb. 8, 1938 in Brodhead, KY to Jop Adams and Leuvena (Nee Ballinger) Adams, both of whom preceded him in death.

Lloyd was also preceded in death by his son, Shawn Matthew Adams; brother, Landis Harding; 6 sisters, Ethel Bullock, Dorothy Donanburg, Helen Meece, Elnora Lakes, Georgia Hurley, and Wanda Herron.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Eddie (Nee Scott) Adams, of Miamisburg; daughters, Melanie Adams, of Miamisburg, and Jennifer Adams (Massimo Esposito), of West Carrollton; 3 step-sons, whom he raised, George D. Combs (Pam), of Dayton, Stephen C. Combs (Carrie), of Fredericksburg, VA, Christopher Combs (Karla), of Englewood; 3 sisters, Argalee Phenis and Roberta Johnson (Jim), both of Richmond, IN, Beuana Adams, of Miamisburg; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends-including special friends, Nancy and Gayle Cross.

He was a US Army veteran and retired from Dayton Daily News in 1995.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 2-4 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 4pm.
