Our beloved Taylor Lynette McKee, has gained her wings. On February 3, 2017, Taylor was fatally shot and took her journey home to meet her father Travis. She was only 20 years old.
Taylor was born in Montgomery County, March 3, 1996 to Travis and Adrienne McKee. Taylor was a loving parent to her only child, daughter Zya Jae'Nicole Edmondson, with Zya's father Aaron Edmondson. Taylor was preceded in death by her father, Travis B McKee and aunt Cynthia A Glass.
She is further survived by her mother, Adrienne McKee, sisters, Rhianna (Anthony) Madison, Summer McKee, Teah McKee, brother, Thomas Buford and cousin/sister Laura A (Michael) Wampler. Also survived by her maternal grandparents, Karen Klein Steindorf and Francis Steindorf, uncles Joshua Joah and Jamin Steindorf. Taylor is additionally survived by her paternal grandparents, Blanca M McKee and William D. McKee, Sr., her uncles William McKee, Jr., Jyles's A. (Paige) McKee, Miles B. (Beth) McKee, Gerald P. McKee and aunts Crystal H. (Brian) Mitchell, Rosemary S. (Brian) Braxton and NaCole M. (Brian) Cantrell. Taylor will be desperately missed by her nephews Anthony Madison III and Zion Alexander Madison, great aunties Charlotte M. Greene, Mary L. Burns and Amelia R. Burns, cousins, loved ones, extended family and friends.
Taylor attended school in Englewood and Columbus, OH. She loved her family and friends but her daughter Zya was the love of her life. Taylor enjoyed music both listening to and writing raps, social media and animals, especially horses and dogs. Taylor's smile was infectious and she lived life her way. She was a mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, cousin, niece and friend. She was loved immensely and her loss will be felt for generations.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 10am-noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton Xenia Road in Beavercreek where funeral services will begin at noon. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
