Diane M. Yost, age 64 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born December 12, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charles and Wilma Yost.
Diane is survived by her brother, Gary Yost; sister, Janet (Michael) Brown; nieces, Courtney (Bill) Toedter, Laura (Ryan) Schnitzler, Leslie (Daniel) Baumgart, Sarah (Randy) Land; great-nephews, Stuart Land, Harry and Owen Schnitzler, Charlie Baumgart, Ethan Toedter; great-niece, Sadie Land; her very special dog, Meisha; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Diane was a graduate of Fairmont East High School and The Ohio State University. She retired in 2013 from General Electric Financial Services. She was a long-time member of Greenmont-Oak Park Community Church, Southside and was a Christian all of her life.
Diane will be remembered as a loving, caring person who treasured her family and friends and always looked forward to the next family gathering. When she was able, she enjoyed life to the fullest, planning activities, outings and travels. She was always looking for ways to help others.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 10 am at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 W. National Rd., New Carlisle, OH 45344. A celebration of Diane's life will be held later in the day at 6 pm at Greenmont Community Hall, 20 Rembrandt Blvd., Kettering, OH 45420 followed by a reception and time of fellowship and sharing at the hall. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 409 E. Monument Avenue Suite 102, Dayton, OH 45402.
