Joshua Merrick Weaver, age 23 of Beavercreek, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at home from complications with Crohn's Disease. He was born November 28, 1992 in Fairborn, Ohio the son of Susan Slaughter and Thomas Weaver.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Reed and Joyce Weaver.
In addition to his parents, Josh is survived by his step-father, Jerry Slaughter; step-mother, Shelly Weaver; sister, Heather Weaver; two step-sisters, Brianna Slaughter and Katie Kahle; two step-brothers, Scott Slaughter and Cody Kahle; grandparents, Gerhard and Inge Fischer; and two special friends, Taylor and Samantha. He is also survived by numerous other close family and friends.
Though Josh was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at an early age, he never let that affect his love of life, of learning, and games of all sorts. To this effect, he chose to major in Biology at Wright State University with aspirations of conducting research and supporting efforts to find a cure.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd, on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm with a Funeral Service immediately following.
