Edna Lee Blair passed away September 18, 2016 at 5:30am with her son by her side reading Scriptures to her as she took her last breath.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert C. Spradlin and Lydia (Arms) Spradlin.
three brothers Orbin, Richard, and Elmon David, also two sisters, Audrey and Ossie. Her first husband, Edsel Picklesimer and her second husband Howard Blair.
She is survived by two sons, David (Cindy) Blair of Fairborn and Danny Blair of Urbana.
Four grandchildren, Dorene Anderson (Florida), Stephanie (Ben) Pfeiffer (Huber Heights), David (Fairborn) and Caroline Blair (Montana). Four great grandchildren: David Lee, Mekayla, Darian and Eian. And so many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Edna was born and raised in Paintsville KY where she graduated from Oil Springs HS. After attending a vocational school for business administration she moved to Dayton OH and began working at WPAFB where she retired 32 years later.
Edna loved to fish at Lake Erie with family and friends while also raising a plentiful garden for canning and sharing. When not fishing and tending her garden she pieced together the most beautiful quilt tops by hand.
Her heart was so full of love for her family and friends, but it was finally just too tired to go on. Her love will never cease as she is now with the love of her eternal life, Jesus.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek 45432) and again Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 am at the funeral home, Rev. David Crofford, officiating. Burial to follow at in Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia.
